This family home was designed to be elegant yet comfortable for a young family to grow with, remaining timeless for years to come. It was requested to have simple yet beautiful detailing throughout where the detailing is subtle yet when spotted, it captivates your attention. Our favorite detailing is seen through the hardwood enlay at the entry laid out in a bordered diamond format and down each connecting hallway in a bordered diagonal format. Our clients requested to have the black framed windows remain a feature throughout the home. Originally our clients requested black island cabinetry. However, during our conceptual designs, we proposed to instead have the island cabinetry to reamin in the calming warm wood finish with their island counter to instead be a beautiful black leathered granite as it keeps your eyes at eye level with the windows and doesn’t draw your eyes downwards with a bold island base. We also decided to emphasize the hood fan enclosure to ground the two side windows and avoided upper cabinets to let the windows remain the statement in the space. We decided to go bold and elegant in the Power Room which embraces the soft black accents throughout the home and easily becomes everyone’s favorite space, giving that wow factor! Soft patterns throughout the home allow a playful and inviting vibe for this young family to enjoy and grow with for years to come.
